Assists in driving sales, profit, and market share at customers through a thorough understanding of shopper insights. All activities will focus on winning at the shelf with our consumer, through a solid understanding of our consumer when he or she is in the shopping mode. Key activities for this position that will help drive sales, profit, and share include understanding of shopper insights; development of shopper marketing programs; trade funds management and evaluation; private label management; new product launches to field sales; and account sales, profit, and share analysis. Gains thorough understanding of shopper insights, especially for assigned accounts, through working closely with manager and consumer insights group. Based on shopper insights, assists in developing shopper marketing programs and trade promotions at accounts to drive net sales and market share. Acts as key internal contact and expert for assigned accounts and for shoppers at these accounts. Analyzes market share by account to ensure we are winning at shelf and that shopper is showing preference for our brands. Assists in altering programs/promotions as appropriate to ensure annual share targets are met. Meets profit targets by achieving net sales targets and by efficient use of trade and shopper marketing programs. Analyzes return on shopper marketing and trade promotions funds to maximize return on funds invested (ROI). Helps to manage private label activities (as appropriate) to increase Pharmavite’s relevance to accounts and thereby improve our brand performance at accounts where we handle private label. Works collaboratively with brand management peers to ensure successful launches for new items and products. Assist in development of new item/product materials to facilitate successful launches by Field Sales. Supports Field Sales in the annual planning process to ensure accurate and thorough account plan submissions for each AOP cycle. Works collaboratively with Supply Planning to ensure accurate forecasting of account shipments and consumption. Requires a four college or university degree, or its equivalent, in Business Administration or related field. Requires three plus years of Consumer Packaged Goods experience in Sales, Customer/Trade Marketing, Promotion Management, Category Management, Shopper Marketing, and/or Brand Management. Field sales experience a plus. Requires ability to learn and understand shopper insights, shopper marketing program development, and trade promotion management/ROI analysis. Requires ability to access, query and research in syndicated data sources (e.g., IRI & Nielsen). Requires strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet. Requires good financial, analytical and problem solving skills. Requires sStrong oral, written and presentation skills. Demonstrated skills at building strong partnerships with Field Sales and cross functional peers.
