Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
4-5 years experience in a technical help desk environment
Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Network
Experience with EDI, IFS (ERP System) and Oracle
Administration is highly desired
Knowledge of computer maintenance, software support, network
design, cabling, communications and hardware selections and installation
Strong software application skills in Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2003/2008,Windows XP/7, SQL 2005, connectivity, LAN/WANc onnections
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities:
For this position are but not limited to
Provides technical expertise for all network users in the areas of training, problem resolution, hardware and software upgrades
Ensures that personal computers and networks are functioning properly and are available for the intended uses
Analyzes end users data needs and develops user oriented solutions which interface with existing applications
Assists in coordinating all aspects of implementation and training to support new programs/system
Provides input to Business Analyst(s) to prolong system life or to recommend timely replacement
Recommends improved operational procedures to maximize systems efficiency; provides guidance to solving complex operations malfunctions and performs telecommunications troubleshooting
Ensures system integrity, assists in installation of technological upgrades
Responds to requests as part of an on-call or weekend rotation when applicable
