An IT Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, performance and reliability of the corporate networks including, but not limited to, firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and desktops. An IT Engineer will proactively find ways to support and automate operational duties in support of the infrastructure operations. An IT Engineer is on call 24/7/365 for support.
Design of networks and network topologies. This includes design of router, firewall, DMZ, and VLANs in a manner that provides a high degree of reliability, availability, and serviceability with minimal downtime and impact to the business operations. Make recommendations to management on need for new equipment and upgrades to existing infrastructure to meet the demands of the business and the underlying network infrastructure.
Advanced technical support for all computing issues.
Write programs and scripts and ensure high availability and notification of outages or performance issues.
Work proactively with business to ensure that we are leveraging the systems technologies to their utmost ability.
Ensure all IT policies are adhered to appropriately. Document the network and provide input to corporate Information Security policies and procedures.
Develop and support network security for all networks.
Strong understanding of networking technologies including, but not limited to, Cisco, VLAN, VPN, SSL, Security Zoning, TCP/IP, IP Routing (via EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, static and RIP) ACL , VoIP, and QoS.
Managing data center environments including but not limited to: cable management; server backups, virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V).
Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively and completely with pro-active communications, formal project plans, and meticulous documentation.
Work independently and without supervision to perform aforementioned tasks. Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or related work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Information Technology with at least 2+ years focus as an engineer.
- Certification as an MSCE, CCNP, CCNE, or other industry standard certification is desired.
- Experience working with Hospitality specific software such as Property Management and Point of Sale Systems would be a plus.

Reside in East Glacier, MT for 6 or more months and work from offices in Glacier Park Lodge during summer operations.
Frequent travel by car and sometimes air. Travel between properties at any time at management request and/or as critical issues warrant.
