The Mgr Organizational Development supports organizational development efforts to align resources and prepare organizational talent to accomplish corporate objectives. Increase managerial capability and leadership competency at all levels. Contribute to processes and programs to enhance individual, team and organizational capabilities. Create programs to enhance leadership capabilities of talent pool across Ryder. Reduce talent skill gaps and increase bench strength to create skilled, prepared internal resources for growth opportunities or vacancies.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred.
Minimum 8 years experience in an organizational development, organizational behavior, or organizational change role, preferably in a Fortune 500/Corporate environment.
Experience advising senior leadership, and implementing methodologies and practices within Fortune 500 organizations that create and sustain a high performance culture.
Knowledge and application of organizational development theory, as well as practical business acumen and working knowledge of operational business processes.
Responsible for advising senior leaders and coordinating staff resources and partners to shape corporate culture, increase management capabilities, develop leadership competencies and supporting organizational change initiatives.
Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.
Works within the Talent Management function to support the optimal use of human capital. Creates and implements talent management initiatives to facilitate the selection, development and optimization of talent pool, including: applicant and employee assessment, succession planning, career development, performance management, management training, leadership development and executive coaching.
Facilitates implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with organizational transition activities. Acts as an internal business consultant on enterprise wide and large divisional change efforts, particularly those that affect organizational structure, roles, and/or leadership behaviors. Contributes to corporate culture assessment, employee engagement, innovation/change, and other strategies required to achieve and maintain a high performance environment.
Conducts needs analysis and works closely with HR field resources to determine most effective use of human capital resources, as well as measure skill gaps and identify organizational themes. Uses strategic analysis to align programs and processes to achieve executive vision and business strategy with internal talent. Works with TM Systems group to measure performance metrics for programs implemented across enterprise.
