Job Summary/Basic Function:
The User Support Specialist provides first level technical support to users of computers and related computer equipment throughout the College. Support provided by the User Support Specialist shall include, but not be limited to, installing hardware and software; performing trouble-shooting, problem diagnosis, and repair of computers and related computer equipment.

Required Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree in computer or related field or an Associate's degree with equivalent formal training and credit coursework.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Previous in-depth experience with computers.
- In depth knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7).
- Ability to work in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of imaging software (ie. Ghost, Altiris).
- Help Desk experience (i.e. assisting users over phone, creating tickets, etc.)
- Knowledge of Apple Operating Systems (OS X and above).
- Understanding of Network Systems.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010.
- A+ Certification
- Microsoft Certifications
- Knowledge of Audio Visual equipment.
