Our Procurement Director career path provides you with an opportunity to own, manage, and drive a measurable improvement in CH2M HILL's procurement strategies and initiatives. You will provide deep functional, technical and strategic sourcing and procurement expertise in support of the missions of our Government, Facilities and Infrastructure Business Group.

You will have work experience in a global organization, with solid knowledge of global procurement strategy and a strong track record of delivering results to the bottom line and bringing about step change improvements. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in Federal contracting and a strong background in construction projects both domestically and internationally.

You will inspire, develop and lead a seasoned team of procurement professionals. You will also use superior customer service and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with internal customers at all levels of the organization.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Current working knowledge and past experience with the full range of US Government prime contracts and the procurement services needed to successfully support the needs of U.S. Government agencies (primary) or private sector engineering and construction services firms (secondary).
  • Strong experience in managing the placement of U. S. Government subcontracts and purchase orders for construction, services, equipment and materials in both domestic and international settings (including Middle East locations)
  • Demonstrated record of knowledge and full compliance with U.S. Government procurement requirements as evidenced by Government approval of contractor purchasing system
  • In depth knowledge of Enterprise procurement tools
Basic Qualifications

15 years of Federal Government Contracts and/or Procurement experience

10 years of experience with Government procurement regulations including FAR and Agency supplements to the FAR
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the basic qualifications the following are also preferred:

Experience with management of Federal projects' procurement decisions and transactions

Effective implementation of a federal procurement compliance program

Ability to be a liaison to Internal Audit, Enterprise Procurement and Contracts, Audit, and Procurement groups

Ablity to manage multiple assignments concurrently

Demonstrated strong leadership and people management skills with both Business Group upper management and procurement staff

Excellent skills and broad knowledge base in Federal procurement policy and procedures and internal and external client relations

Strong knowledge of subcontractor sourcing, negotiations, proposal pricing, cost estimating, change control and risk management factors

Strong financial, pricing, and business management skills

Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a team setting in a fast-paced organization with competing priorities

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice and for extended periods

Ability to develop strategic and tactical procurement acquisition strategies and procurement management plans

Accomplished record of preparing successful proposals from a subcontracts perspective and then managing to proposed subcontract budgets (including estimated procurement hours) and/or enhancing margin on subcontracts through effective buyout and change control
