 Supply Chain Planning (35%)
  • Ongoing iteration of design for the owned distribution network strategy
  • Provide analysis for strategically locating future distribution centers
  • Utilization of modeling software programs for network designs
  • Data collection and analysis from various in-house databases
  • Provide inventory allocation and distribution analysis and reporting
 Inventory management and logistics analysis & reporting (20%)
  • Determine new fiscal year allocations and peak in/outbound flows
  • Provide accurate inventory forecasts
  • Assist with low-cost initiatives
 Model development (20%)
  • Develop sophisticated models/prototype applications which provide process improvements and cost savings
 Assistance with group reporting requirements (15%)
  • Identify and fulfill ad hoc reporting requests
  • Work with Reporting team to complement existing resources
 Communication with Business Partners (10%)
  • Primary interface with Merchandise Planning when updating assumptions of unit allocation
  • Primary interface with DC Operations to ensure proper allocation to forecast by building
The Supply Chain Analyst, Forecast & Allocation reports to the Operations Manager, Forecasting & Allocation. Areas of responsibility include Supply Chain planning, network optimization, Inventory allocation and distribution, and facility level forecasting. This position has primary responsibilities to define the peak Holiday unit flow curves (both inbound and outbound), new fiscal year unit allocation planning as well as ad-hoc requests to provide analysis to reduce costs and improve speed of delivery to customers. This position performs a critical role during peak with respect to orchestration of unit allocations across the owned buildings.
Other responsibilities associated with this position will include acting as the primary backup to manage an array of regularly scheduled analysis and reporting functions which support the Inbound process, including Facility Forecasting, Order Management Planning, and various complex reporting sets for trending and tracking. Responsibilities also include on-demand data base queries and reports as needed. Some complex projects including prototype system builds may also be assigned. The Analyst will also work, as part of a greater team with Merchandising Planning and Logistics to facilitate cross-functional planning and communication.

1) Minimum educational level:
  • B.A. or B.S. required. MBA preferred
2) Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in analysis, building models, reporting and budgets
