The Assistant Director for Global Programs plays a prominent role in designing, managing, and delivering international programs and services for undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Program. The Assistant Director manages selected Undergraduate Business program operations in support of the Associate Director for Global Programs. The Assistant Director reports to the Associate Director for Global Programs. The Undergraduate Business Program is the largest degree program within the business school with an enrollment of over 900 sophomore, junior, and senior major students as well as junior and senior minor students. Currently, approximately 60 of our business majors study abroad. Our goal is to increase participation and the Assistant Director will help achieve this objective. The Assistant Director also participates in the day-to-day operations of the Undergraduate Business Program to ensure smooth and effective functioning of the Program. The Assistant Director develops operations consistent with curricular and programmatic goals of the Undergraduate Business Program and the Kenan-Flagler Business School. To that end, the Assistant Director designs systems to implement effective and efficient globally focused academic programs, professional development, and international career opportunities for Undergraduate Business students.

Educational Requirements
A Master’s degree in business administration, international studies, student personnel administration, or a related discipline is required. For candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant undergraduate degree and relevant experience in substitution.

Qualifications and Experience
Required Experience and Qualifications: Three or more years of experience in undergraduate or student advising, program management, or related experience. Strong interpersonal skills (written presentation) with an ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including other campus offices, partner schools abroad, students and parents. Critical requirements include: professional demeanor, strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, flexibility, and orientation towards operational effectiveness and efficiency. Strong proficiency in technology: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. This position requires a valid passport and international travel. Some domestic travel is also required. Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of relevant work experience. Master’s degree in business administration, international studies, student personnel administration, or related disciplines. Demonstrated success with using social media as an engagement and marketing tool. Proficiency in a modern foreign language. Undergraduate and international student advising, counseling, or related experience. Program management and event planning experience.
