Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: Will be responsible to ensure efficient in-office patient flow. This position is critical to the physician and mid-levels so that they may devote their time directly to the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Major duties and responsibilities will consist of: take and chart vital signs or record in EMR, initialize patient histories, prepare patient and assist with exams and procedures, order supplies and stock exam rooms, ensure charts and encounter forms are completed, call for referrals, assist physicians with efficient patient flow, direct patients through discharge process, schedule and send OR packets, cross train in other office positions, and all other duties as assigned. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training & Licensure: High school graduate or equivalent required. Additional training preferred with emphasis on office management. Must have competency in office management and computer skills and must have a valid driver¿s license.
Knowledge, Experience & Special Skills: Minimum of one-year experience in a medical office. Must have excellent communication and management skills. Must have good interpersonal relationship skills and be able to work closely with others as a part of a team.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS STRENGTH FACTOR: S - Sedentary Work - Requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
