General Purpose: Assists with the implementation of Heath Care Integrated Therapies’ mission, vision, philosophy and values and specifically for massage therapy operations and services. Provides massage therapy to maximize the physical, emotional and spiritual wellness and quality of life of all patients.
Education or Formal Training: (Certifications ) Graduation from massage therapy school is required. Due to varying education and accreditation requirements for massage therapy schools, graduation from a COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation) approved school with a minimum of 1000 hours of training is preferred. Active State of Colorado Massage Therapy Registration is required effective 4/1/09. BLS is required
Knowledge and Experience: Minimum of five years of clinical experience is preferred and hospital based experience is also preferred. Minimum of two years of teaching experience with leadership skills is also preferred.
Ability: Manual dexterity; demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skill; follows written procedures/policies, prioritizes work to meet patient needs; exercises independent sound judgment; identifies and resolves problems; provides constructive feedback effectively; establishes and maintains effective working relationships across the healthcare continuum.
