Responsibilities for this Position:

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Lead Assistant-1 - Security - to join our team.

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to manage Security solutions for GDAIS. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct security support to classified programs
  • Proficiently knowledgeable of Government Security Regulations:
    • NISPOM
    • Personnel & Physical Security DCID/ICD (704, 705)
    • EO 12958
  • Experience with JPAS/JCAVS, ISFD, e-Qip
  • Investigate Security Incidents/Violations, submit reports to Gov, suggest prevention improvements
  • Establish and Maintain a Security Awareness/Education program
  • Assist personnel with completion of Personnel Security paperwork (SF-86)
  • Prepare and submit Form 4311 (Personnel Security Action)
  • Perform Initial indoctrinations, debriefings, refresher training, changes in security policy
  • Perform customer required Self-Inspections/security audits, monitor and implement corrective action plans
  • Prepare and Maintain Security Plan (SOP, SPP)
  • Establish and Manage Information Management System (Document Control) for all classified material
  • Conduct annual Inventory of classified holdings
  • Interface with government security representatives
  • Interpret government security regulations, work with customer security representatives for approval for any deviations to policy
  • Create and submit Security-related CONOPS for these deviations
  • Ability to change door and safe combination locks (S&G, Mosler, Kaba-Mas XO variety, Unican)
  • Perform required lock combination changes and maintain facility combination list
  • Maintain safes in good working order or arrange for repair per government policy
  • Manage Facility Access Control System
  • Develop FFC (Fixed Facility Checklists) for Accreditation of Physical Classified Areas
  • Conduct annually required IDS testing to maintain UL 2050 certification
  • Monitor IDS devices (motion detectors, BMS, HSS, Emergency Exit Door hardware) for good working order and arrange for repair with certified vendor
  • COMSEC – At a minimum experience with STU/STE function and basic “repair”
  • Prepare out-going visit certifications
  • Maintain incoming visit certification list
  • Work with ISSM to ensure proper compliance for AIS certification and maintenance

  • Basic Qualifications:

    Candidates must demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of industry and company regulations and an ability to effectively uphold GDAIS security practices.

    The Advanced Specialist Security position requires either a bachelors degree in a specialized area with a minimum of five to eight years of related experience, or a masters degree and at least three to five years of related experience.

    Top Secret security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph (Lifestyle) is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
