A robust career path is available to anyone dedicated to achievement.Job Description:· Conduct an effective sales effort that results in a steady flow of new business to the agency.· Win long-term clients. Coordinate all projects/jobs associated with carrying out the new business effort.· Maintain a computerized prospect database that contains names, addresses, phone, faxes, email, etc. The Business Development Account Executive also records marketing information about the prospect, tracks all contacts including mailings, calls, appointments and correspondence.· Look for new business leads by building contacts with associations, organizations, business and civic groups, as well as suppliers and the media.· Keep contact with prospects via regularly scheduled mailings (letters, email) and phone calls.· Create and maintain “Prospect Notebooks' that contain all research/reports and sales information used in selling the prospect.· Meet with the account service team to inform them of new business opportunities. Share all available research and industry information with the account team when plans and proposals are being prepared.· Manage and coordinate travel to the new business pitches.· Participate in the planning process for Business Development each year detailing goals, needs and projections. Help establish and sign off on personal quarterly goals.· Work with office staff on accounting matters, when needed.· Participate in at least two seminar events per year.
Job Requirements:· A minimum of 3 years professional sales experience in a boardroom environment.· First-class telephone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and trust very quickly. In addition, you must be a true hunter, with the skill to get past the gate-keeper and win an appointment with the key decision maker.· Documented success selling to C-level executives and multiple levels of decision makers in large complex accounts.· Experience selling solutions and value.· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. · Occasional travel required (up to 25%), and previous experience traveling regionally to meet with/present to clients.· Great time management and organizational skills.
