JOB SUMMARY :
Assist in overseeing all of the Hotel Departments, including, but not limited to, supervising Hotel Front Desk and Central PBX/Reservation employees. Responsible for assuring that Company and department policies and procedures are adhered to. Prepare the department for daily activity.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS :
6 months previous management and/or hotel experience required. Quality control, customer relations and ability to follow procedures required. Must be able to give and receive accurate information and interpret procedures to benefit both the Company and the guest in response to changing situations. Must have good organizational skills and be detailed oriented. Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions required. Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English. Basic math and computer skills required. Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Oversee all team members, ensuring all work is completed according to established standards, including all money handling and billing policies and procedures.
Maintain all aspects of hotel preparatory to occupancy.
Maintain high level of communication with all areas of management and other departments.
Utilize the Company’s telecommunications system effectively.
Facilitate reservations, including the booking of Spa and Golf packages.
Understand, comply with and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures, job descriptions, OSHA regulations and standards and other written and verbal instructions.
Motivate, encourage, train, coach, discipline and schedule team members as needed.
Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS :
Apologize for long lines when appropriate.
Use guest name at least twice during each encounter.
Demonstrate 100% willingness to solve problems.
Offer detailed directions or maps.
Advise guests of all points of interest within the Company and surrounding areas, making reservations as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Extensive time spent sitting and standing. There may be some walking; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations, etc. The work area is indoors. The work environment involves exposure to second hand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays .
