As a Medicare Representative , you will perform a variety of moderately complex tasks related to the management of Medicare Receivables. You will be required to work directly with Medicare, Medicare intermediaries, follow up on outstanding Medicare claims and resubmit corrected bills when necessary, review explanation of benefits and review documents to assure that correct payment are received and that all adjustments are correctly posted.

Thorough knowledge of Medicare rules, regulations, terminology

Working knowledge of the Medicare FISS system and the CMS website

Intermediate knowledge of CMS/Medicare regulations

Solid knowledge of PPS, OPPS, APC, DRG

Ability to identify and report inventory trends, issues and identify areas of financial opportunity within your assigned inventory

Ability to analyze and resolve problems, and identify payer reimbursement discrepancies.

Claim processing and payment procedures knowledge, including regulatory guidelines, such as DRG and OPPS reimbursement methodology

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.

Proficient computer and keyboard skills and ability to update multiple systems while interacting with third parties.

Knowledge of healthcare claims processing including ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC codes, as well as UB-04 and 1500 claims forms.

High school diploma or equivalent.

5+ years experience
