A Sales Engineer (SE) at ScienceLogic plays an integral role in sales of our enterprise class software. Sales Engineers are expected to provide through representation of all ScienceLogic products to clients and prospective clients. Reports to VP of Sales and is responsible for the Western Region.
Ideally the candidate should be located in the Bay Area, Denver or Chicago.
Sales presentations and demonstrations
Technical writing in support of all sales efforts
Independently enable technical proof of concepts
Experience and skills
Polished and professional in appearance, personal interaction and all communications
3-5 years’ experience in Sales Engineering
Experience with Network and Systems Management systems
Degree, EE, CS, or BS in Information Technology
Experience in an equivalent role for a technology firm
Willing to travel up to 50%
Knowledge of: TCP/IP, SNMP, XML, SOAP, ITIL, Python
Understanding of IT Operations
Proven or demonstrably outstanding presentation, speaking and writing skills
Ability to articulate complex topics to business or technical audiences
Ability to translate technical advantages into business benefits
