What You'll Do

At Phoenix International, as a Senior Electronic Design Engineer - Displays, you will design, modify and evaluate electronic products for use in rugged environments to meet quality, delivery and cost goals. In addition you will:

Design new high end display products (ie. TFT LCD, touch screen) that meet customer, reliability and quality requirements with the involvement of manufacturing/mechanical/software engineers and supply management.
Perform worst case analog/digital/mixed signal design analysis, simulations, and design verification to ensure electronic assemblies meet the requirements of harsh environments for the vehicle applications.
Perform high speed design simulations and support high speed PCB layout to meet signal integrity requirements.
Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results, including electromagnetic compliance (EMC), electromagnetic immunity (EMI), highly accelerated life test (HALT) as well as various electrical & environmental tests.
Provide technical support to marketing, manufacturing, quality and supply management organizations. What It Takes

We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In addition we require:

5 years of commercial design experience related to electronic equipment and electronic hardware systems.
A strong candidate will also have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with displays and/or high speed digital design, significant experience and knowledge of testing, manufacturing, quality control and marketing requirements and strong experience with engineering tools (i.e. electronic simulation), systems and databases.
