Manufacturing Technicians (MT) perform functions associated with semiconductor manufacturing floor operation, as well as equipment maintenance. Intel technician's will also be expected to participate in their shifts ERT team and be a contributing safety leader.

You will perform functions associated with semiconductor manufacturing, including setting up tools, running equipment to documented specs, adjusting the process for DOEs, and training others when you become proficient. You may collect significant amounts of data as we are a Research and Development factory. The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. Your Equipment ownership includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares and sustaining.

You will be expected to role model safety and participate in safety teams or the Emergency Response Team. You will follow documented procedures, but also escalate any concerns regarding quality.

Work is complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.

Minimum qualifications:
You must possess an Associates degree or a Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related technical field. Equivalent Military Experience will be considered. Knowledge of Process Control Systems, Design of Experiments is an advantage. You should be able to read, comprehend, and execute complex instructions.

  • Basic electronics, equipment troubleshooting, installation, repair and operation in Semiconductor manufacturing technology
  • Must be able to read schematics and complex drawings/diagrams
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to produce results in a timely manner
  • Self motivated
  • Analytical problem solving and testing skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds (18 kgs) 4 times a day. Position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience on 200 or 300mm equipment
  • Knowledge of process control systems
  • Integrated-circuit fabrication experience
