Cognizant Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Project Manager with a solid track record of driving solutions to successful completion within large enterprise businesses. The position requires an individual with exceptional communications skills (verbal and written), meeting facilitation skills, highly accomplished personal organizational skills and big picture view of the use of IT to drive business solutions.

We are looking for a business-focused project manager with experience that can help to keep the coordinated activities of multiple client projects on track.

Activities revolve around model development, experimental design for campaigns, development of customer journeys, etc.

The position is not meant to focus on the IT system development work – but is more focused on business use of software tools and ensuring that pieces are in place for efficient use of these tools.

The Business Project Manager plans, organizes, monitors, and oversees systems or business projects for the completion of procedural, operational, infrastructure, and/or software development to meet customer defined requirements or business specifications. The Project Manager manages cross-functional teams who are responsible for delivering the approved projects on-time, within budget, and with world-class quality results.

Additional responsibilities include:
Defining the project charter, roles, tasks, milestones, budgets and measures of success

Developing project estimates and plans to manage the end-to-end project execution

Ensuring client requirements are captured accurately and completely

Creating and maintaining project documentation

Facilitating the day-to-day coordination while adhering to standards and sponsor expectations

Acting as the link between the project resources and key stakeholders.

Ensuring project closure, including completion of lessons learned and required documentation

Required skills:
8-10 years of experience with at least 2-3 years in Project Management and Operations.

Excellent project management skills for Business Operations including driving six sigma projects, defining knowledge management processes, operational processes, and risk management abilities.

Excellent communication skills

Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

Goal-oriented, action-focused

Strong planning, organization and leadership skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients

Strong meeting facilitation and negotiation skills

Strong business judgment

Ability to work in a team environment

Computer proficient, familiar with project and portfolio management tools like Microsoft MPP etc.
