Supports the Medical Staffs' peer review process by identifying and coordinating medical chart reviews in relation to the Medical Staff quality indicators, departmental and special committee reviews, and referrals. Conducts pre-review of cases that meet evaluation criteria, assigns cases for review, and tracks case review completion. Works with data specialists and others to assist in monitoring individual physician quality performance. Applies knowledge of current, relevant clinical practice to provide meaningful input to the case review process. |
RN with a South Dakota license required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred. Experience in chart review, clinical coordination, case management or similar tasks preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. Must work well independently and collaboratively. Must be proficient in Microsoft computer software. Experience with other software products preferred.
Sitting, standing, walking short distances, lifting 5-15 lbs. Must use visual, auditory and verbal skills. Must work well under short deadlines.
Monday through Friday with hours primarily 8 am to 5 pm. Hours may vary to accomodate early morning and evening meetings. Position may require occasional travel to surrounding communities.
