The Senior Processor is responsible for establishing residential loan shipping dates and ensuring loans are processed and sold according to trade deadlines. Coordinates with loan officers, staff and outside investors to remove barriers, overcome obstacles and resolve problems impeding timely delivery and sale of loans.
Reviews and packages customer loan forms and documents to ensure compliance with selected loan plans and investor requirements. Prepares Assignments of Mortgage, original notes and other applicable documents for delivery to investors.
Analyzes pipeline to ensure loans are within delivery guidelines. Assists in formulation of trades and mortgage-backed securities. Allocates loans to commitments. Approves, tracks and disseminates rate locks and other applicable documentation with loan officers and mortgage brokers in order to ensure timely delivery of loans.
Inputs, accesses and retrieves information on the computer and analyzes reports to direct individual work flow. Manages information on various residential lending, secondary marketing and investor delivery software to facilitate loan commitments and the settlement of transactions.
Utilizes investor requirements and Bond market Association standard practices to ensure proper settlement of trades. Coordinates wires, system generation and information flow between document custodians, investors and servicing. Provides follow-up of legal documentation and regulatory information to investors.
Reviews all forms received from loan officers and mortgage brokers to ensure accuracy and compliance with loan product parameters. Takes corrective action to maintain the integrity of the loan. Monitors usage of developer commitments and tracks receipt/refunding of commitment fees. Coordinates and reconciles general ledger transactions to ensure proper transfer of funds.
The qualified applicant for the Senior Processor position meets the following basic qualifications:
- College Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years mortgage banking experience and knowledge of mortgage loan and deposit products.
Working knowledge of personal computers, including the following software: EXCEL/LOTUS and MS Word for Windows/WordPerfect.
Must have excellent data entry skills.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
