Customer Safety and Loss Prevention Consultant
position is responsible for managing safety, health and security processes and providing leadership for all matters related to employee safety and health.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field required.
Professional occupational safety experience required.
Prior Work Experience in a management and/or leadership role in civic or organizational capacity required.
1 (one) to 3 (three) years of experience directly managing employee safety and health issues is required
Technical experience in OSHA/DOT/FMCSR regulatory standards is required.
- Masters degree in Safety or Health field preferred.
-Insurance industry experience preferred.
-Transportation Safety experience preferred.
-Must have the ability to work with all levels of management and manage multi-functional teams.
-Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Director of Safety (CDS) preferred.
-Transportation Safety knowledge
-Insurance and Risk Management
-Insurance product knowledge
-On board data collection tools/equipment knowledge
-Regulatory Knowledge about DOT or FMCSR or OSHA
-PC skills-MS Office, IBM AS400, Internet, Lotus Notes
-Business and Insurance Accounting knowledge
-P and L Knowledge/Mechanics
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitoring compliance with internal Ryder safety and health requirements, as well as external regulatory agencies.
Support operational personnel to ensure that systems are in place to drive continuous improvement in employee safety programs, regulatory compliance, workers compensation and injury/collision experience.
