      Position Summary

      The Human Resources (HR) Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, disciplinary processes, separations, employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workers compensation, employee relations, training and workforce development, and compliance with HR laws and regulations. The HR Manager must be open and available to discuss human resources matters with the entire workforce. The HR Manger reports to the Director of Human Resources but also supports, the Sr. VP of Ops, other Sr. Management team members, and L-3 Communications Headquarters.

      Essential Functions

      Prepare and maintain accurate records, files and reports, including responsibility for maintaining personnel records.
      Organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks/projects and complete assignments with specified deadlines.
      Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels of staff and management expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely.
      Advise on employment statutes, rules, regulations, and policies affecting team members.
      Recommend, develop, interpret and clarify personnel procedures and policies.
      Assist in hiring, including developing job descriptions and job advertisements, and sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
      Demonstrate skills in consensus-building and mediation in order to constructively address employee conflicts.
      Demonstrate skills critical for managerial success including leadership, decisiveness, flexibility, sound business judgment, and highly developed personal, analytical and communication skills.
      Job Responsibilities

      Maintain close contact with Sector and Corporate offices on human resources matters. This includes preparing and submitting all required periodic reports.
      Take ownership of staffing and recruiting. This involves working closely with hiring managers to open reqs and navigate the entire hiring process.
      Serve as a resource for all team members by being available and accessible to discuss all human resources related issues.
      Maintain all personnel files
      Administration of all data entered into the HRIS.
      Develop, implement and participate in employee recognition programs.
      Oversee on-boarding of hires
      • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or related discipline preferred.
      • At least 3 years of Generalist HR experience.
      • PHR certification preferred.

      Security Clearance

      Must be capable of maintaining a TS SSBI level clearance.
