Process Design Kit Engineer
Intel's Custom Foundry division within the Technology and Manufacturing Group (TMG) is looking for a CAD Engineer that can fully develop, test, release, and support Process Collateral Kits (PCK) for both internal Intel SoC and external foundry customer circuit designs. In this position, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
-- Working very closely with technology development team in Intel to ensure the device targets meet process specification.
-- Modification and evaluation of active semiconductor devices and passive semiconductor components and translating specifications into circuit requirements.
-- Standardization of Intel device template models/schematics/layout cell views for plug & play use with industry standard CAD tool flows (e.g. Cadence, Synopsys).
-- Establishing and executing a robust process design collateral test suite for PCK functionality/quality and release process.
-- Performing device and circuit simulation, variation/aging analysis, custom layout, Design Rule Checking (DRC), Layout Versus Schematic (LVS) checking, and parasitic extraction.
-- Creating and managing usage specification documents/whitepapers for all process collateral. This includes: process file/variation/aging tables.
-- Development and support of computer aided design (CAD) automation tools/flows to enhance device and circuit level quality checks.
-- Supporting external foundry design customers on process collateral and design kits.
This position requires a strong background in semiconductor device physics and a good background in electronic circuits. You should possess a Master degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Additional qualifications include:
-- Demonstrate experience in semiconductor device physics, models and technology scaling.
-- Demonstrate experience in digital, mixed-signal, and/or analog circuit design.
-- Demonstrate experience and expertise with industry standard CAD tools/flows for digital and/or analog design. Specific experience with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre/Hspice is a plus.
-- Demonstrate experience with software development/programming in high-level languages (e.g. C/C++, TCL, Lisp, Perl) and CAD tool scripting languages (e.g. Cadence SKILL, OCEAN).
-- Demonstrate experience working on with UNIX/Linux platforms.
