Previous experience with DME Billing and Accounts Receivable is preferred.

Functions under the direction of the Director of Homecare and Hospice Revenue Cycle Management. Acts as the primary liason between WellStar Homecare and the DME Billing and Accounts Receivable outsource vendor. Provides assistance with all issues as they relate to reimbursement activities and compliance. This includes, but is not limited to verification/authorization, billing, collections, cash posting, and report preparation for both outsourced and internal accounts. Assists with the flow of information between WellStar and the vendor, assists with patient issues/complaints, and participates in meetings. Manages self pay accounts and transition to external collection agency.

Required Minimum Education: High school diploma and 5 years of health care related experience, or Associate or Bachelors Degree in health care related field

Required Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years of related reimbursement experience

Required Minimum Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, as well as excellent customer service, communication and analytical skills required. Must be able to coordinate work efficiently within a multi-facility healthcare system. Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail and reliable follow-through. Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and excellent organizational skills.
