The Food and Nutrition Services Worker (FANS) performs a variety of tasks that facilitate the provision of food services and nutrition support to patients, employees and visitors. These duties include:
Contributes to the efficient operation of the dpeartment and delivery of quality food presentation for the hospital.
Contributes to the preparation of quality food by ensuring all recipes and productions sheets are followed with 100% accuracy, adhering to all therapeutic guidelines.
Provides quality prepared foods for the grill, deli and steam table by dishing out foods within specific time frames and volumes according to established policies and procedures.
Contributes to the efficient operation of the department by restocking food and supplies as designated by the supervisor, manager or dietician.
Contributes to a safe, clean and uncontaminated enviroment by ensuring work area in kept clean, sanatized, and orderly.
Job qualifications include:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
6 months food service experience preferred.
Previous experience in hospital food services preferred.
