Web Designer
Embry-Riddle - Daytona Beach, FL
Lead website design along with organization and presentation of information on pages.

Design and build prototypes for new pages and sites and for enhancements to pages and sites.

Collaborate with team members and customers to design, write and edit content for web sites.

Create and edit web pages using technology such as xHTML5, CSS 3, other web tools and the content management system.

Create and edit images and graphics for website use.

Develop and maintain effective code to ensure consistent functionality across web sites and browsers.

Coordinate with programmers for specialized scripts and forms presentation.

Ensure web content is designed and presented in a format that meets web usability standards and is consistent with university design guidelines and standards.

Develop and maintain content and page design guidelines used for web site media.

Monitor and analyze current and emerging web design trends, technologies and developments to help guide the planning and execution of online initiatives.

Mentor team members and customers in web design skills.

Perform other duties as assigned to assist the Web Content Team in meeting its goals.
Gathering requirements, designing, creating and editing content and jQuery XHMTL CSS code

Assisting customers with the content management system and content development.

Meeting with customers to advise, guide, and plan online communications project.

Data analysis, research.

Project documentation, email, staff meetings.

Job Requirements Bachelors degree required. 3 to 5 years of work related experience.
Strong creative skills and design skills.

Experience in designing, writing and editing material for online media.

Strong analysis and research skills.

Strong communication and writing skills

Experience in soliciting and incorporating customer feedback.

Strong skills in creation and optimization of graphics.

Strong knowledge of web design standards and practices.

Strong skills in web tools such as jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Photoshop, FTP.

Knowledge of Dreamweaver and web analytics a plus.

Skilled user of software packages that facilitate design, layout, image preparation, and editing for web publication.

Experience in MS Office applications and internet end user applications.

Familiarity with content management systems. Percussion or WebCenter a plus.

Combines creativity with strong critical judgment. Possesses an interest and aptitude for exploring new technology and online trends, and the drive to create and adapt web site design strategies.

Strong organization skills and able to multi task while meeting deadlines.

Team oriented, client focused, deadline and results oriented.

Work experience in higher education or aviation, aerospace a plus.
