Job Overview:
Join the manufacturing leadership team in Ecolab’s St. Paul Corporate office as a Production Planner II for the growing Microtek Medical business unit. In this challenging role, you will help lead the progress toward world class operational excellence in master planning, implement finite production scheduling, develop integration strategies with the Purchasing team, and work directly with all other business functions – marketing, R&D, Quality, and Logistics. We will be scheduling a complex supply chain for multiple facilities in North America that produce infection & fluid control disposable medical products for the healthcare industry.

The successful candidate can expect to advance to operations leadership roles in production, planning or procurement.

Main Responsibilities:
Translate high level plans to the creation of daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
Drive production and inventory planning with make-to-order and make-to-stock production requirements plan and inventory replenishment plans to meet key performance indicators and other metrics in a complex manufacturing environment to match higher level inventory needs.
Work with sales, marketing, manufacturing and R & D representatives to execute the manufacturing strategy to meet customer needs in a timely manner with given forecast data and within equipment and personnel constraints, understanding our manufacturing capabilities.
Provide Plant and Divisional Planning Management with ideas on how to structure operations to maximize performance and customer satisfaction. Generates and implements ideas that improve indicators, in line with cost, investment and service goals.

Basic Qualifications:
Ecolab Employee with related manufacturing planning experience OR:
Bachelors degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Logistics, Transportation, or Materials Management
2+ years experience in a supply chain and/or manufacturing environment OR 2+ years Ecolab experience in a function (e.g. purchasing, distribution, equipment leasing) that works cross-functionally to support supply chain.
1+ years experience using MRP and/or MPS
5+ years experience using Microsoft Access and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:
Operations or planning experience in healthcare manufacturing
Strong career progression that illustrates high potential and shows strong tactical and strategic thinking skills
Demonstrated experience leading or participating in Sales &Operations Planning
Experience implementing cross-divisional, cross-functional initiatives
Project leadership and / or Lean Six Sigma training and experience
Proficiency in SQL tables a strong plus
APICS certification
