The Director, Labor Relations is responsible for the SHC labor relations function across all businesses. Must partner and consult with the Business Unit (BU) Presidents, senior leaders, and Divisional, Regional and District teams to ensure the development and implementation of a broad, well-balanced and effective labor relations strategy, including developing and implementing strategies to prevent further union organizing.
Leads a team of Labor Relations Managers, including selecting, supervising, coaching, training and performance management of Managers who travel extensively providing union avoidance training, managing the company's position during union organizing drives, negotiating and executing collective bargaining agreements, and managing and resolving union-related disputes. Comprehensive knowledge of the NLRA and method of enforcement by the NLRB is required.
