Department Quantitative Management - Springfield Office Reporting to the Managing Director of QM
Job Summary The Analyst position will provide support for ongoing asset liability management (ALM) programs with respect to traditional life insurance products and variable/fixed annuities. Candidate will have experience with quantitative analysis, model design and programming, and the ability to create and maintain tools and models in support of ALM programs.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Candidate will have the mathematical and programming expertise as well as the knowledge of finance to be able to assist in
the building and maintenance of:
1.Financial pricing models for fixed income options and correlation trades using Monte-Carlo methods. 2.Trading and risk management tools. 3.Methods for the statistical analysis of historical data. 4.Tools for populating and managing databases of market information. 5.Techniques for the analysis and management of an ongoing macro hedging program. 6.Asset allocation, portfolio optimization, and related risk budgeting/management technologies.
- Graduate Degree candidate in mathematics, quantitative engineering or related field -Coursework and understanding of related mathematical concepts required. Knowledge of economics and finance a plus. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including: Excel, Word, Access and Powerpoint including ability to program in Excel. -Experience with and ability to program in the following statistical programming packages: APL, MatLab and R/SPlus. -Knowledge of insurance and investment products helpful. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and self motivated.
