Job Description Summary

We are seeking a safety minded, detail oriented individual to learn all aspects of construction projects under the direction of the construction division. The project engineer will assist with anything that directly reflects the activities of the project.

Essential duties for this position may include but are not limited to:

Assist with the planning and scheduling of daily/weekly yields for construction materials, equipment and labor.

Assist with scheduling of personnel, equipment and trucks.

Assist with general project layout and sequencing.

Assist with ensuring all operations are in full compliance with Federal/State/Local regulations including environmental, OSHA/VOSHA, MUTCD and DOT regulations.

Some administrative duties will include: job related paperwork, preparation of time cards, equipment hours and production reports.

Requirements/Education/Experience

Associates Degree in Construction Engineering and/or or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Information

The selected candidate must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public. Must have strong attention to detail, strong computer skills (MS Office products), the ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written) with all levels, the ability to manage administrative duties in a timely manner. A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel within VT and to other Pike locations if needed are essential for this position.
