DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITES: -¢ Performs daily cycle counts, report incorrect inventory statuses and reconcile inventory variances of fixed bin locations at Trane and an off-site Warehouse -¢ Performs additional counts to assist in location of inventory for process orders as well as to insure inventory accuracy -¢ Performs material number reclassifications on a daily bases -¢ Provides documented feedback from cycle count results to departments for training and continuous improvement opportunities. -¢ Adheres to safety procedures and ensures a safe work environment
¢ High School Diploma required. -¢ Physical inventory or cycle counting knowledge preferred -¢ Ability to work both independently and as a team required -¢ Familiarity with Microsoft Office required -¢ Math and analytical skills preferred -¢
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Must have a stable work history
Manufacturing experience preferred
Must be available to work ANY shift
1st shift: 6 am - 2:15 pm
2nd shift 2 pm - 10:15 pm
3rd shift 10 pm - 6:15 am
Must Pass Work Keys (Reading for Information, Locating Information, Applied Math, and Observation), Drug Screen,
Background Check, Physical and Physical Ability Test
Physical Demands: Perform medium, repetitive work in a manufacturing environment. Stand up to four hours without sitting, and up to 8 hours for an entire shift. Constantly use hand to finger, grasp, or handle, objects, tools, or controls. Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms, bend or stoop. Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance. Frequently required to lift materials weighing less than 40 pounds. Frequently required to push or pull coils or materials along a conveyor or using a cart.
Visual acuity to operate motor vehicles, heavy equipment, work with machines and tools, and inspect work for small defects.
Work Environment: The employee works in a manufacturing environment which involves hazards such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, exposure to high heat, fumes, airborne particles, loud noises, vibration, and exposure to chemicals such as cutting fluids, coolants, and oils.
Equipment Used: Brazing equipment, power, pneumatic, and hand tools, computers, bar code scanners, carts, conveyors, forklifts, manipulators, hoists, and cleaning equipment. Welding face shields, brazing sunglasses, hand guards and other personal protective equipment.
