Starting this fall, SelectHealth will offer insurance products to individuals and employers in Idaho through a new affiliation with the Boise-based St. Luke’s Health System. The goal of this new alliance is to provide exceptional healthcare and exceptional health insurance to Idaho residents.
This new relationship aligns incentives for participating healthcare providers and their patients and SelectHealth and our members. Over the long-term, this alliance will reduce unnecessary care and expense to stabilize, and where possible, lower health insurance premiums.
The Account Executive is responsible for selling new Large Employer business for SelectHealth. Develops close professional relationships with producers / brokers / consultants and works with them to sell new employer group business while prospecting new direct business. Provides guidance to Account Managers as they assume renewal responsibilities for new groups.
Must establish and maintain relationships outside consultants, agents, and brokers in creating new group sales. Provides education concerning products, policies and procedures and works as a liaison between the broker and large group underwriting. The account executive is accountable to create and deliver effective sales presentations to employer groups to increase awareness and promote sales and assist management in developing market strategies.

Entry Rate: Base Salary plus commission
Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: Exempt position, hours will vary but typical hours will fall between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Additional Details: Position is located in Meridian, Idaho
Bachelor's degree or four years experience in health insurance, management, marketing or sales. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
Five years health insurance industry experience.
Current Health and Life Insurance License for the state of Idaho. If incumbent does not have current agent license for the applicable state, must acquire licensure within three months of date of hire.
Highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Highly effective selling skills.
Strong team leadership skills and the ability to gain the support of individuals and departments contributing to sales-related company objectives and goals.
