Job Description
The Manager, Franchise Finance and Development Strategy?s primary job functions are as follows:
Franchise Finance
q Key member of the Franchise Health Committee leading weekly discussions pertaining to franchise related issues. The position is the primary facilitator of these meetings preparing agendas, presentations, and minutes.
q Manage franchise financial reporting and workout process, including leading direct reports in the assessment of overall financial health of franchise entities, including analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, payment collections and delinquencies, asset upgrade obligations, and ownership changes for franchisee entities of various sizes. Detailed cash flow modeling of sales, margins, EBITDA, capital investments, asset requirements, debt service, and other key financial ratios (i.e. DSCR, FCCR, Leverage, etc.)
q Partner with General Managers, Dir. Franchise Finance, and Dir. Franchise Administration on proactive recommendations for franchisee asset upgrade solutions and other financial workouts.
q Forecast and manage Franchise Direct Expense account including bad debt, property risk exposure, and legal fees partnering with cross functional teams to proactively address possible brand risk
q Manage and approve all Ownership Changes including new franchise candidates, franchisee to franchisee transfers, and refranchising initiatives
q Develop indirect members of cross functional teams driving world class one system commercial business mindset throughout the organization using influence and business intelligence technology
Strategic Development & Analysis
q Establish and maintain process, policy and data accuracy to develop and evolve an effective Market Plan for the KFC brand.
q Assist in strategic thought leadership to insure relevant development strategies/policies are developed, prioritized, and embraced by the system to drive growth and asset reinvestment. Assist in development of ongoing Multi-brand strategies and policies.
q Support, analysis, and reporting to monitor and drive franchise and company system development and asset strategy to meet targets/obligations and post audit results.
q Forecasting and support for capital, dead sites, closed store and all P&L/NFA related items. Manages closed store approval process.
q Develop quarterly reporting for key business initiatives including FDE (i.e., Matrix), KPI report, and development actions (i.e., remodel results, new unit returns, etc.).
q Own related systems, processes, IT relationships, etc. Establish process for ongoing assessment of needs and continuous improvement to meet business needs.
q Ad hoc analysis

Minimum Requirements
q Must have strong internal motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking, and a desire to have a large commercial impact on the organization. Being a Customer Maniac is a must.
q Must have i ntentionality to lead direct reports via creative thinking and problem solving
q Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities leading to commercial business insight
q Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task & generate actionable recommendations
q Excellent interpersonal & team skills with ability to present to Senior Leadership
q Demonstrated ability to create detailed cash flow models; highly proficient with Excel.
q 5 years of demonstrated organizational impact in corporate finance or related areas.
q Previous experience with modeling complex business issues in order to influence decisions with a data driven point of view.
q Clear communication, organizational and strong interpersonal skills are a necessity. Ability to partner well with cross functional departments and work with all levels of management, including senior management.
q Ability to efficiently manage workload well with shifting priorities. Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment.
q Strong analytical and problem solving skills, strong/advanced Excel skills. Strong system/technical skills, including knowledge of Microstrategy, People Soft, Hyperion, and proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite.

BA/BS in finance/accounting, business, economics or related field required. MBA preferred.
