We are searching for a

Contract and Regulatory Paralegal

to join our

Legal Department

in

Louisville

,

KY.

Essential Tasks

:

Support the Vice President & Chief Counsel for RehabCare.

Conduct complex legal research of federal and state laws.

Keep abreast of current federal and state licensing, regulatory and reporting requirements.

Assist Chief Counsel in the management of RehabCare legal matters.

Prepare legal documents and legal memos for review by Chief Counsel.

Assist with management and timely response to subpoenas, licensing and other agencies requests and other time-sensitive matters.

Communicate with and provide status updates to outside counsel and RehabCare operators regarding legal department matters.

Gather, organize, summarize and index documents and correspondence from various sources for legal matters.

Be responsible for document management and filing, to include electronic filing.

Responsible for implementing and/or assisting with RehabCare legal department projects.

Review and assist in drafting contract templates and client contracts.

Assist with management of contract database.

Qualifications

Experience and familiarity with federal and state healthcare regulations.

Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelors Degree preferred.

5+ years experience as a paralegal.

Proficient in legal research.

Proficient organizational skills.

Must be able to efficiently manage numerous, complex and time-sensitive matters and projects.

Must be customer-focused.

Strong communication skills.
