The Director will manage programs that support students and the University on issues that affect students who reside in the University residential facilities. The Director develops and maintains programs that link students to University provided services (e.g. Counseling, Security, Ministry and Service, Multi-Cultural and International...) and programs designed to improve students' Lasallian experience (FYO class presentations, Alternate dispute resolution, Opening Weekend, Safety Alerts and Advisories, Web and Portal Based Resources, ...). This live-on position supervises six full-time masters-level professional Resident Coordinators and shares leadership of the Community Development unit within the Division of Student Affairs with the Director of Off-Campus Communities, Director of Community Standards and Support and their supervisor the Senior Associate Dean of Students. Position will become available on July 7, 2011.
Education and Experience Desired/Required:
A master's degree in college student personnel, counseling, higher education administration or a related field and 5 or more years of related experience and success or equivalent. A preferred candidate would also have experience with student life on an urban, residential campus and commitment to the ongoing enhancement of student learning and student life in such a setting.
