Parker + Lynch Consulting seeks a Fixed Assets Senior Manager for a 6 month engagement with a global tech company. Must have experience with large-scale ERP.

General Description:
  • Responsible for creating corporate policies and procedures for fixed assets worldwide, including overseeing their implementation and execution across all regions where Client operates.
  • Has direct responsibility for coordinating large fixed asset projects, ensuring adherence to US GAAP, and keeping abreast of and communicating changes to US GAAP related to capitalization, impairment, and disposal of fixed assets.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for monthly and quarterly FA reporting, roll forwards, reconciliations, and analysis.

Responsible for setting corporate policy regarding the accounting and maintenance over fixed assets worldwide, including ensuring regional fixed asset teams adhere to corporate policies.

Responsible for ensuring fixed asset process and procedures are adhered to worldwide by regional accounting teams as well as business units deploying fixed assets for their use.

Ensure worldwide compliance for fixed assets

Periodically assess estimates of fixed asset's useful lives

Develop routine procedures to identify impaired fixed assets or fixed assets no longer in use

Prepare quarter end and year-end audit schedules

Prepare internal management reporting of fixed assets including, but not limited to fixed asset roll forward schedules, forecast of depreciation expense and listing of CIP assets.

Responsible for ensuring SOX controls related to the accounting of fixed assets are followed and adhered to worldwide.

Responsible for establishing process and procedures for the new fixed assets system.

Build credibility with internal and external auditors through relationships, expertise, and performance

Collaborate and build proactive, positive relationships with peers, managers, outside vendors, real estate team, tax, technical accounting, and IT to ensure global best practices, consistency within processes, and timely and accurate capitalization

Test and support acquisitions and system changes and enhancements

Ensure Internal control and SOX narratives and controls are correct and comprehensive

Requirements:
Minimum 8 years of experience in fixed asset accounting required.

FAS fixed assets accounting system experience a plus

Oracle and SAP financial accounting experience a plus

High degree of expertise in Excel

Strong analytical skills

Strong understanding of US GAAP

Strong leadership skills, including the ability to work in a global, matrixed environemt

Ability to assess current processes and implement process improvements as required

Experience working with and representing management with internal and external auditors

Experience working in a public, global company environment driving change and scalability

Deadline and results orientation

Strong, professional interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written

The ability to work in a changing, complex, matrixed environment across geographies
