Tier II Network and Systems Administrator

Exciting opportunity to work for CSC’s government client in a 24x7 ITIL-aligned service center based in Fort Worth, TX. Only candidates with an active Top Secret Clearance and above will be considered. Candidates are required to have proven experience as either Network Administrators or System Administrators along with a willingness and aptitude to cross-train and perform both roles in support of a large government agency.

From a server administration perspective, Tier II administrators:
Monitor and manage enterprise servers, applications, systems, and databases
Take corrective action to ensure the operability of all servers and all systems
Configure management software; Active Directory and general purpose applications
Manage databases, backups, software platforms and systems as well as organizational units (file storage quotas, mailbox quotas, home directories, delegation of authority and passwords)
Remotely troubleshoot and resolve network issues


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field preferred
  • Four or more years of experience with computer systems or networking
  • Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades
  • Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
  • Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures
Other Qualifications
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and multitask
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems
  • Good communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
