Performs various cleaning duties at the Fort Boise Community Center (FBCC) working under the general supervision of the Building Custodian and Facility Coordinator.
Routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, moping and emptying trash cans.
Scheduled weekly cleaning duties such as cleaning windows, cleaning locker rooms, and cleaning in the City Art Center.
Performs other duties as assigned. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time.
Open to youth age 16 to 19 years of age who are currently enrolled in a formal high school education program, or its equivalent.
Requires the ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. Employee must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training
A superior candidate will be mature, dependable and have the ability to work with limited supervision.
Licensing And Other Requirements
All applicants must be able to successfully pass City of Boise background check processes which include reference checks and criminal history checks.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. Also the employee is occasionally pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. The noise level is frequently moderate. Work includes sensory ability to talk, hear, touch and feel. Employees will stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and grasp. Position requires hand/finger dexterity.
The work environment will include inside conditions, with areas of dust, odors, mist, gases or other airborne matter. Work includes protected exposure to chemicals.
This position works: M-F afternoons and some Saturday mornings.
