Position is responsible for GME business management and the unified budget funds flow process; business and strategic planning for GME and the MAO; budget preparation and monitoring; facilitation of the contract process/renewals and training new managers in financial analysis.

I. Oversee GME business management including funds flow process

A. Manage unified GME budget that meets CMS regulations
B. Collaborate with PCMH cost reporting and BSOM finance on budget activities
C. Design and implement payment methodology for BSOM GME program directors
D. Develop contracts and MOUs with individual BSOM departments to compensate for teaching and supervision activities
E. Develop planned residency growth strategy
F. Develop mechanism to manage and compensate for resident housing for off-site rotations
G. Develop recruiting budget guidelines based on service line need
H. Develop and monitor documentation tools, such as time logs that allow for appropriate and optimal federal reimbursement
I. Monitor GME expenses and create reports by individual program on an annual basis

II. Utilize expertise in quantitative and qualitative analysis to assist Executives and Administrators with efficient business and strategic planning needs

A. Assists with business and strategic planning and development including visioning, design and development, research and analysis, writing
B. Presents final product to Executives and other stakeholders
C. Analyzes outcomes as needed
D. Works with multidisciplinary teams to comply with project deadlines

III. Budget Monitoring

A. Manages revenue and expense reports
B. Assists Administrator and Executives in budget preparation

IV. Facilitate contract process and renewals

A. Maintains current physician leadership and recruitment support contracts and annual performance review
B. Coordinate contract review process with legal department
C. Participates in contract negotiation with Leadership Team and stakeholders and monitor for compliance, including approval of invoices

V. Train new managers in relevant financial tools

A. Train and introduce new managers to PCMH financial and statistical tools
B. Participate in collaboration with Business Liaison group in curriculum development and instruction of Finance 102.

A Masters Degree (MBA,MHA) is required. 1 - 3 years experience in business and accounting. Must demonstrate ability to problem solve, communicate (verbal and written) effectively and a willingness to understand and support the philosophy and objectives of Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
