Provide quality customer service and account management as a primary contact for PBS Member Stations, and the teachers, schools, districts, states, and educational institutions affiliated with Member Stations. Develop new and maintain existing relationships with PBS Member Stations at all levels of the organizations, as well as teachers, schools, districts, states, and educational institutions affiliated with Member Stations to ensure they have the information and resources they need in support of educational initiatives supported by PBS, including PBS LearningMedia. Collaborate with other PBS staff to ensure that the highest quality of customer support is provided.
Daily support of PBS Member Stations and education partners to build capacity for and drive dissemination of PBS LearningMedia and emerging educational products and services.
Create content for, edit, administer, and monitor PBS LearningMedia station communication efforts on all platforms.
Work with PBS LearningMedia staff to identify and create supporting materials for use by stations and local school districts to help in their implementation of the service
Maintain comprehensive tracking system related to ongoing local education and station activities in the education market to determine strategic opportunities to support PBS LearningMedia.
Collaborate with PBS Member Stations and Partners to build capacity by providing strategies and tactics to ensure the successful penetration of PBS LearningMedia in local markets.
Meet with PBS LearningMedia Member Stations to identify ways to overcome unique challenges that will enable stations to leverage PBS LearningMedia to meet their strategic educational goals.
Develop and manage contacts database.
Represent PBS LearningMedia at national and local conferences and promote local station offerings to drive awareness and registrations for the service.
Work with stations not currently affiliated with PBS LearningMedia to engage them in the project.
Collaborate with co-workers and other departments to ensure cross-promotion of PBS educational initiatives are leveraged by stations in local markets.
Perform special projects as assigned, and provide support to staff as needed.
At least 5 years’ experience in account management or related field;
Experience working with PBS member stations preferred;
Knowledge of the K-12 educational market preferred;
Demonstrated success working in a team environment;
Demonstrated success in customer service, communications and/or marketing.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Ability to spend approximately 20%-30% of time traveling locally and nationally
A strong customer service orientation
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to works well with others
Enthusiastic, flexible team player who has the willingness and aptitude to acquire new skills
Resourceful, self-directed individual with strong initiative to proactively handle tasks and solid follow-through skills

Excellent written, verbal, telephone and interpersonal skills, including excellent listening skills
Familiarity with travel, conference and meeting planning logistics
Ability to research, synthesize and provide information via Power Point or online wikis for use in presentations and public speaking events
Ability to identify multiple strategies to tackling problems
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
Experience with Mac computers and graphic design a plus
Strong typing skills required
Interest in new media and public broadcasting a plus
