The goal of this position is to outreach to students at high risk, understand their underlying need, and advocate for needed resources for dramatic student school attendance increases, daily classroom attendance increases, credit recovery program accessibility, social-emotional supports, and overall successful completion of on-time graduation rates. This position will coordinate RTI/PBIS efforts in each PreK-12 feeder school patterns, coordinate all appropriate internal and external organizational and agency service student interventions and preventions will be the focus of this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1.
Excellent outreach skills for students at high risk of drop out, course failure and absenteeism. 2. Excellent outreach skills for students who are chronically truant. 3.
Excellent understanding of RtI/PBIS for all grade levels PreK-12. 4. Experienced capacity, ability, and willingness to relentlessly build collaborations within the school environment between teachers, support staff, deans and administration. 5.
Experienced capacity, ability, and willingness to relentlessly build colaborations with partner agencies outside of the school to provide services for students at high risk. 6. Dramatically strengthen PreK-12 feeder pattern collaboration and implementation of RtI and PBIS to build seemless coherence, cohesion, and consistency around services for students when they transistion from elementary school to middle school and then from middle school to high school. 7.
Excellent capacity, ability, and willingness to relentlessly advocate, manage, and monitor student course programing in PreK-12 school environments that lead to documented student success. 8. Previous school social work experience preferred Comments: The goals of this poition include the following: Position Goals for D2015 Reduce the number of 2/5 student to 3% or below at the school of assignment. Reduce class absenteeism by 50% from the 2010-11 totals at the school of assignment.
Reduce the students suspended for 10 days or more by 75% at the school of assignment. Reduce the dropout rate to below 1% at school of assignment. Dramatically strengthen feeder pattern collaboration in RTI/PBIS by maintaining at least a 95% attendance rate at all related meetings. Increase outside agencies collaboration through the School Alliance partnerships.
Increase the number students mentored by outside agencies by 50%. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: 1. Working in a school setting for the majority of the day. 2.
