Submittal Exchange has an immediate opening for a full-time Test Engineer. The primary responsibilities of the Test Engineer will be to improve our SaaS products overall quality through test automation. The Test Engineer will be tasked with creating automation test scripts using Java, executing tests created, creating resulting bug reports, tracking test results and working with development to troubleshoot issues.

Creating test scripts, test cases and executing them. Create test plans as needed.

Participate in automation framework design

Identify defects, issues and risks within the software system.

Work closely and proactively with the development and product teams to determine the best way to increase the quality of the product

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

2-5 years of experience as a Test Engineer

Understanding of Agile Methodology and other software development methodologies

Ability to develop & maintain Selenium automation solutions using Java

Experience with test automation frameworks

Experience with testing web based applications

Experience within a test environment is desirable, but not required.

Experience in creating and maintaining automation tests (integration, regression, performance, etc.)

Experience with source code repositories (subversion, etc.) is desirable

Proficient in Windows and Linux/Unix environments

Ability to work independently

Strong organizational and problem solving abilities

Strong oral and written communication skills
