Description/Job Summary Use hand tools to assemble fabricated parts at floor stations while testing and calibrating mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
Responsibilities/Duties •Responsible to follow-up, communicate, or take corrective action in all safety matters

  • Be aware of all Quality requirements
  • Ensure the team is following the Work Instructions and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines
  • Identify and bring to the attention of management any documentation errors including Bills of Material (BOM’s), Quality documents, and work Instructions
  • Adhere to the calibration schedule for all tools used by the team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work place for the area of responsibility
  • Follow and adhere to company guidelines outlined in the employee handbook
  • Work with minimal direction from management
  • Assemble 80% of all products in assigned area
  • Assist in all areas of production as needed, including product packaging
  • Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management
  • Attend the Annual C-TPAT Security Training
  • Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment
  • Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations
  • Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary
Required Skills •Must be a team player, detail-oriented, and honest

Must have the ability to:
  • Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment
  • Accomplish work with minimal supervision
  • Work in a non-climate controlled environment
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Use a hydraulic lift, small hand tools, small table lifting device, electronic testing equipment, calipers, verniers, and the Jazzy scan and pipeline
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic sub-assembly when required
  • Maintain a high standard of quality in workmanship
  • Inspect sub-assemblies and completed power chairs to meet company standards
  • Lift 50 lbs
Must have:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods
Required Experience •Experience using hand tools to assemble or repair product
Preferred Experience •Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Required Education •High School Diploma or GED
