Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain consists of 11 businesses that operate on an integrated global basis. We source, trade, process and distribute grain and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and ethanol. This group works closely Cargill's ocean freight and logistics business. Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain employs 20,000 people in 46 countries. We operate 245 interior silos, 28 import/export elevators, 62 crush plants and palm oil plantations in Indonesia. It also encompasses three vegetable oil refineries and numerous joint ventures. Production Supervisor I

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor with Cargill Grain and Oilseed Supply Chain North America will oversee the supervision of export terminal activities, including vessel loading, binning and stock records, stevedoring, safety, sanitation, and production employee leadership: scheduling, training, coaching, and engagement.

Principal Accountabilities

40% - Lead specific operational accountabilities: control room operations [vessel loading and inventory received marine operations [stevedoring and coordinating barge handling], or house operations [rail, truck, dryers, sanitation].

25% - Employees: Schedule, motivate and train employees to perform specific tasks.

25% - Operations processes: EHS, ISO, and reliability maintenance - ensuring compliance and documentation. .

10% - Special projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

Four year degree [industrial or electrical or agricultural technology or equivalent] OR High School equivalent and four years experience in industrial plant environment OR High School equivalent and four years service as commissioned or noncommissioned military officer

Proven leadership skills

Task oriented

Effective Communication [verbal, written, presentation, numeric] skills for multiple levels of Cargill and customer organizations

Successful applicants will be required to pass basic math test required of union control room console operators

Willingness/ability to work rotating shifts

Preferred

2+ years previous experience leading a department

Knowledge of grain grading and warehousing regulations

Mechanical/ electrical aptitude or experience

Previous grain terminal experience
