Automated Image Analysis Software Developer
In Quality & Reliability Labs, we are currently undertaking an aggressive project to automate the detection of defects in 3-dimensionally imaged parts. This process involves advanced image analysis, pattern recognition, data analysis, software integration, and database integration. We are seeking a talented intern to integrate the existing defect detection system into our operational workflow (by working with users and improving the software graphical user interface) and to synchronize the system with other existing database systems. This is an interdisciplinary application of software engineering working on a high impact project that will expose you to many facets of our operations, from the analytical tools that image parts to the ways in which these data are mined and interpreted to make business decisions.
You must currently be enrolled and pursuing a MS or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline.
Minimum Qualifications: Experience with Java and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in software GUIs, image processing, statistics, automation, databases, independent thinker, fast learner, and able to work well with others.
