Description
The purpose of this position is to provide queue management and 2nd 3rd
line support for Global Network voice and telecommunications day to day operational issues.
This includes digital and analog voice, LAN, WAN, IPT, and PBX.
This position requires a high degree of problem solving and technical expertise.
The systems supported may not be in the same location as the Network Analyst, who will have to rely on the quality of the answers provided by the on-site representative.
A wide-ranging experience of the systems supported and their local configuration will be necessary to ensure that there is no adverse impact on the business
65% - Provide queue management and 2nd/ 3rd line support for all Global Network voice services to business units in coordination with the Global Network team and managed service providers including being a member of the on call support rotation.
20% - Change management for Projects. Working close with the Global Network Engineering team and managed service providers for implementations in Cargill.
5% - Vendor management of the day-to-day operational relationship with our managed service providers.
5% - Actively participate and promote Global Network process, including change control, incident management, configuration management, problem management and network documentation
5% - Actively participate with Global Network global team members to pursue team work, collaboration and sense of community.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree level or equivalent and 7+ years networking or VOIP experience
3 + years hands on CISCO IPT support experience
Knowledge of data and telecommunication systems
Working knowledge of ITIL (or equivalent) processes
Demonstrated skill in complex problem solving
Excellent communication skills
Capable of managing multiple activities
Preferred Skills:
3 + years Nortel PBX support experience
Cisco IPCC support experience
Cisco VOIP certification
