Provides technical experience and expertise to our client DISA Field Security Operations to obtain and maintain accreditation, and continuously enhance overall site security for DISA and DISA customers.
Maintains and updates the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for Mainframe OS's.
Each STIG, show's DISA's customers how to secure their operations, in the technical environment relevant to their organization. This includes analyzing existing and new products, to develop standards and/or recommended configurations for secure product implementation and administration. The STIG clearly delineates what is a requirement, and what is recommendation.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering, Business, or has equivalent work experience.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Minimum 10 years experience in S/W development, installation, and configuration. Minimum 8 years experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer with knowledge of Mainframe Security products.
A DoD Security Clearance of Secret (minimum) with a Single Scope Background investigation is required to perform the SRRs.
Ability to work flexible hours
Experience in Mainframe operating system programming/administration to include the following capabilities:
Installing, operating and maintaining Mainframe systems.
Analyze Mainframe related program products for potential security vulnerabilities.
Code and test operating system software programs.
Analyze customer needs and identify Mainframe security requirements and solutions.
Applying system level patches.
