General Manager - Trappeurs Crossing Resort - 1301367 Description
      SCOPE: The General Manager is responsible the successful operation of the entire Trappeur’s Crossing Resort property, including the condominium rental operation and all aspects of the 6 Homeowners Associations and 1 Amenities Association.

      The General Manager will develop and execute plans to ensure Wyndham Vacation Rentals a maximum profit while enhancing and promoting the reputation and performance of the property. The General Manager will accomplish all objectives through planning, motivating and coordinating the activities of all departments and communicating effectively to the Vice President of Resort Operations, Homeowners, and Boards of Directors.

      The General Manager is expected to be a leader at the property in all aspects. The General Manager is expected to understand and have a working knowledge of the Front Desk operations and be available to work shifts, when necessary. The General Manager must be prepared to work 50-hours or more a week which can include weekends and holidays.


      1. Possession of a degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management or Resort/Hotel management or related experience; and
      2. Three years of progressively responsible property management or hotel experience.

      KNOWLEDGE of: principles and practices of business resort condominium management including the operational functions of the front desk, maintenance, and housekeeping departments; Association budgeting and general accounting; supervision, training and performance evaluation.

      SKILL at: communicating effectively, verbally and in writing; assess operational, property, staffing, and fiscal needs; evaluate fiscal and financial reports, forms and data; identify and resolve administrative problems; work long and irregular hours, and under pressure conditions; delegate responsibility and achieve results through subordinates; maintain good working relations with staff, guests and owners; and maintain order in an environment of changing priorities.
