This position provides nursing services to individuals served. This position is accountable and responsible for planning, directing and evaluating all activities of the nursing department, including implementation of the department's goals and standards (Rule 116), standards for nursing practice and the management and development of nursing personnel. The Director of Nursing provides leadership and direction in all nursing matters.
Bachelors Degree required. Registered Nurse with current State of Illinois License required (BSN preferred).
Documentation of successful completion for Tardive Dyskinesia (T.D.) Screener.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of nursing with persons who are developmentally disabled preferred.
Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
Experience in conducting training on medication management, side effects, etc. preferred (Nurse Trainer).
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to rules and regulations by which the agency is governed.
