We are currently seeking a Product Engineer to be located in Meriden, CT as a key part of 3M Purification Inc. This successful person will be working in a production facility for {chemicals, elastomers and/or plastics}, and will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Performs and guides approved self initiated or assigned programs of major importance to the organization in the area of product support, cost savings, resolving quality or regulatory issues.
  • Establishes and cultivates an extensive support network (laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, marketing, regulatory) to facilitate completion of assignments.
  • Communicates progress and results of assignments to business leadership through reports and presentations.
Travel: approximately 10%

Relocation approved within Country per 3M relocation policies.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a product engineering, development engineering and/or manufacturing engineering role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with nonwovens, membranes, separation, filtration, and/or purification technologies preferred.
  • Experience with molded plastic parts preferred
A minimum of 3 years experience in a product engineering, product development or manufacturing engineering role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have problem-solving experience and skills
  • Good people skills including the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
